At My Little Havana dance academy, we aim to create a community passionate about all things dancing, and an environment that allows people to have fun, enjoy their time on the dance floor, and help them improve their skills in the process.
The marriage of music, dance and community is at the heart of what we do and is what makes the Academy unique. We are the only Latin dance academy that interweaves Cuban music and cultural education into the curriculum, together with unique events and tours to Cuba.

I joined my Little Havana two years ago. There is no week without dancing at this amazing academy except if i have work commitments (trips). I love Cuban salsa style, specially Rueda de Casino because there are so many combos and different dancing partners in the same song!! Recently i have found Song and Afro-cuban styles very entertaining. My Little Havana is one of the very few places where to learn them!!!
I found in dancing at My Little Havana an excellent way to balance life: I have got new friends, my soul feels happy when dancing and i enjoy learning nee dancing styles because I can understand better how our bodies move. Our dance school is welcoming of all levels of dancers - from a starter down to a seasoned
professional. Our instructors are experienced in teaching Latin dances such as salsa, samba,
and cha-cha, and can quickly assess a dancer’s skill level to ensure they get the most out of
their time spent with us. No matter your experience level, we believe that dancing should be a
fun and rewarding experience for everyone who steps into our studio! We look forward to
helping you reach your goals while you dance your heart out in the process.

Yes, we offer Bachata workshops at our school. These are seasonal rather than an ongoing course. We teach dance partner styles such as
Cuban Salsa, Cuban Son, Rueda de Casino, Timba, Cha Cha Cha, and solo dance styles such as Salsa Solo, Timba, Reggaeton/Salsaton, Body Movement, Ladies Styling &; Gents Styling.
Alternative options also include Samba, Ladies dance fitness and Caribbean Grooves.

Dance class fees vary depending on the chosen type but are generally very affordable and we offer 4-Week course prices. You can find our current rates online or contact us directly to ask about prices.

While there is no strict dress code, we recommend wearing comfortable clothes and shoes with non-stick soles suitable for dancing.

No, you do not have to bring your own dance partner - we will make sure you are matched with another person from the class or an instructor!

We mostly use the latest Cuban Salsa for Cuban dance classes, Brazilian Samba for Samba classes and upbeat Latin Music during the exercise classes. We always aim to create an enjoyable dance atmosphere but at the same time, we are welcome to feedback on the type of music you like to hear.

Yes, we do! We offer private Latin dancing lessons at our studio in Hawthorne on the weekends. The lesson can either be 1 on 1 or alternatively an instructor working with a couple or a private group. Our teachers are experienced in teaching all ranges of abilities, so get in touch now and we can discuss further!
